Elaine Jewkes is an independent consultant offering advisory services on soil and nutrient management across the whole grassland sector, working in England and Wales (north, north-west and mid). Services offered include nutrient planning and management for both production and environment, including Control of Agricultural pollution/NVZ compliance, manure management and soil management.

A background of many years as a soil science researcher at IGER in Devon, working mainly on minimising losses to the environment from nitrogen sources (fertilisers and manure) ensures a good understanding of production and environment. Active membership of the British Society of Soil Science and the British Grassland Society (BGS) ensures that knowledge and interest is maintained! Since leaving research, Elaine worked as the grassland specialist for GrowHow fertilisers and was Director of BGS for some time, before setting up SoilSense Ltd.
