AgriPlan Cymru Ltd
Serving rural and agricultural businesses across the whole of Wales
I live on my partners’ family sheep and beef farm near Pumsaint, Carmarthenshire and am a fluent Welsh speaker. I enjoy helping out on the farm as much as I can, especially during lambing time.
I spent two years at Harper Adams University and a final year at Aberystwyth University to gain my bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Biosciences, graduating in 2019. I kept busy during lockdown by completing a PgC in Sustainable and Efficient Food Production from Aberystwyth and have since gained a Masters’ degree in Ruminant Nutrition from Harper Adams. I am keen to continually learn new skills and develop my knowledge and have undertaken a variety of further training during my time at Promar, from grassland management to financial budgeting.
My career started with a time at the Farmers’ Union of Wales dealing with the negotiation of the all-Wales NVZ regulations. I then moved to a role within AHDB delivering the HerdAdvance project in Wales, which involved working with dairy farmers and vets to improve animal health and drive business productivity and profitability.
I am a ROMS Accredited Mobility Scorer and find great satisfaction in improving on farm practices and seeing the benefits in cow health, welfare and business performance.
In my spare time I enjoy horse riding, helping on the farm and spending time with my young family.
