Alaw Hughes has worked for FWAG Cymru since November 2014 as a Farm Conservation Adviser in Mid Wales. She advises farmers on environmental issues and on nutrient management planning. In addition, she provides guidance with agri-environment scheme contract negotiations, and the implementation of those schemes on individual farms.

Since starting with FWAG Cymru, Alaw has undertaken nutrient management planning through soil sampling, and prepared nutrient management plans and updates, and helped farmers understand and implement their nutrient management plans. Alaw is FACTS qualified (Fertiliser Adviser Certification and Training Scheme) and a member of the BASIS Professional Register.
